Connecticut Winter Farmers’ Markets 2018

Yes, you can still buy local eats in winter. No, you won’t find tomatoes and strawberries, but you can find cold stored root vegetables, greenhouse greens, mushrooms, meat, and dairy, as well as jarred sauces, jams, condiments, maple syrup, honey, and more.

To assist in your search for locally grown ingredients during these cold months, I’ve compiled a list of winter farmers’ markets going on around the state.

Being based out of Danbury, we’re often closer to NY locales than those on the far east side of Connecticut, so I thought I’d also include one year-round market just over the Danbury border.

If I missed any, please let me know and I’ll happily add it to the list.
