The weekends aren’t the only time for fun his September. How about getting your food and drink on for a good cause on a Thursday night? If that sounds good, mark your calendar for Food Trucks In The Valley happening at the Shelton River Walk on Thursday, Sept. 18th from 4 to 8pm.
The event is being hosted by The Lower Naugatuck Valley Parent Child Resource Center and is sponsored by Avalon Shelton, Bricks + Barley Tavern and Black Hog Brewing.
The event is free and 10% of the proceeds from each vendor will support PCRC’s programs and services that serve children and families who have undergone severe trauma, abuse or neglect.
Activities for the kiddies (and maybe some child-like grown ups) include face painting, hula hooping and candy art with more to be announced. Plus there will be a car show including themed cars for kids and special appearances by “B.B.” of the Bridgeport Bluefish, “Rocky” of the New Britain Rock Cats and “Storm” of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
