If you have a love of local food then get out your calendars because CT NOFA and Winvian are having two must attend events in July.
First up on Friday, July 18th from 6:30pm-9:30pm is a A Special Fundraiser + Award Presentation at Winvian in Morris, CT. This event is CT NOFA’s biggest fundraiser of the year!
You can enjoy signature appetizers, desserts and beverages while you listen to live music, tour Winvian’s garden, and bid on fabulous items at both the live and silent auctions.

That evening CT NOFA will be honoring Claire Criscuolo of Claire’s Corner Copia in New Haven with the Organic Leadership Recognition Award.

Then on Saturday, July 19th from 9:30am to 5pm, Winvian is hosting a CT NOFA Summer Gathering. It’s a day focused on learning, having fun and inspiring people to become food systems advocates and return to good food traditions.
The day is packed with activities for the entire family: children’s crafts and games, workshops, keynote speakers, a farmers market, a baby goat petting zoo, cooking demos by 13-year-old Hunter Zampa (Chopped Teen Champion) and tons more. Plus, there will be plenty of food trucks on hand to help satisfy your hunger pangs – G Monkey Mobile, Skinny Pines Pizza, Sabrina’s Bread Box, and No. 109 Cheese + Wine.
Tickets for Friday’s fundraiser evening cost: $135
For Saturday’s event:
Family Activities Only: Family 4 pack: $35; 12 yrs – adult: $12; 6-11 yrs: $5; 5 yrs + under: free
Keynotes, Workshops, All Activities: Individuals: $50 CT NOFA Members/$60 Future Members
Beginning farmers, apprentices, interns, students, future chefs, foragers, food service and other food systems professionals with less than 10 years experience can attend the event for free!
If you want to attend both Friday and Saturday events the cost is $175 CT NOFA Members/$185 Future Members.
