I have discovered a ton of interactive/iPhone/old-fashioned paper ways to find out what ingredients are in season, but here’s a couple of new ones to add to the list.
I like this one because it not only shows you what’s in season but also links to shopping guides and recipes. Knowing a little bit about an ingredient and what to do with it is important too! Just select your state and what’s in season pops up. Select an ingredient from the list to get to info and recipes.
And, there’s the Eat Seasonably calendar.
This is an interactive tool and downloadable in three different sizes. You can select by month or ingredient. Along the outer edge of each month there are “picks of the month” aka what’s at its peak flavor. When you select a pick of the month it opens up a new window with recipes.
What tools, if any, do you use?
