As you already know this year is my first attempt at a vegetable garden. What’s the status? Well, so far some things look good (zucchini, tomatoes, herbs, lettuce), others are struggling a bit (bell peppers, hot peppers, beans). However, all in all, I’m just proud to have anything growing.
Here’s a photo of a tomato … there are a few but this one looks like it’s coming in pretty perfectly.
And, here’s a photo of some zucchini flowers. I’m so excited! Yes, I like zucchini, but more so, I LOVE the flowers. This weekend I think we’ll be frying up some of these beauties just like my grandmother used to do. Yum!
So, how does your garden grow?
This is my first growing season with a success and thought out vegetable garden. My tomatoes are also doing well. However my cabbage is hit or miss — too many slugs and cabbage worms! The Brussels sprouts, spinach, blueberries, beans and peppers seem to be okay so far, but we will see.
