Photos From My Garden: 7/2/09

As you already know this year is my first attempt at a vegetable garden. What’s the status? Well, so far some things look good (zucchini, tomatoes, herbs, lettuce), others are struggling a bit (bell peppers, hot peppers, beans). However, all in all, I’m just proud to have anything growing.

Here’s a photo of a tomato … there are a few but this one looks like it’s coming in pretty perfectly.

And, here’s a photo of some zucchini flowers. I’m so excited! Yes, I like zucchini, but more so, I LOVE the flowers. This weekend I think we’ll be frying up some of these beauties just like my grandmother used to do. Yum!

So, how does your garden grow?

  1. This is my first growing season with a success and thought out vegetable garden. My tomatoes are also doing well. However my cabbage is hit or miss — too many slugs and cabbage worms! The Brussels sprouts, spinach, blueberries, beans and peppers seem to be okay so far, but we will see.
